DOG PARK’S RENOVATION IS GOING TO BEGIN...
...thanks to the many donations we’ve received and to The City of Portsmouth’s Capital Improvement Plan!
PHASE I – to begin in mid-May
- Grading the dirt surface and adding a stone dust base for drainage
- Installing a surface of rounded stone
- Removing the dead tree
PHASE II – will start after we have the new surface
- Permanent fencing will be installed in ‘Puppy Park’, along with a second double-gated entrance.
- Fencing for a stroller waiting area will be installed adjacent to the ‘Puppy Park’ gate.
- A new dog-friendly drinking fountain will be installed.
- A new shelter will replace the tree.
WE STILL NEED DONATIONS TO COMPLETE THE WORK, so if you have not made a contribution:
- Mail a check made payable to DOG of Portsmouth to P.O. Box 136, Portsmouth, NH 03802.
- Your contribution will be matched by the City.
- You will be a 2007 member of DOG of Portsmouth
- If you email us a picture (JPG format) of your pet (even cat pictures are welcome), we’ll add that to our website.
- Your name and your pet’s name will be on a permanent plaque on our Dog Park bulletin board.
